I am proud to be a product of Lawton Public Schools. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Cameron University and my master’s degree in counseling from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I have been an educator with Lawton Public Schools for 25 years. My first nine years were spent at Crosby Park Elementary teaching first through fourth grade. During the next eight years I served in the capacity of elementary counselor at Washington, Howell, and Geronimo Road Elementary schools. I was an assistant principal at Cleveland Elementary and principal of Country Club Heights Elementary. I am honored to currently be the principal of Almor West Elementary.
I have been married to Rocky for 27 years. Rocky has been employed with Goodyear for 26 years. We have two sons, Clay and Colton, and a special daughter in-law, Sydney. My family and I are all active members of First Assembly of God Church. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and working in my yard.
I love working with students, parents, and community members in educating students. I truly believe that children are God’s gift to us and if we all work together every child can be successful and reach their fullest potential.
