Dear Parents,

Physical Education plays an important role in your child's growth and development. It is that phase of general education that contrivutes to the total development of thje child, primarily through selected movement experiences and physical activities. The aim of the physical education program is to learn to move and to learn through movement. As the student is developing muscular strength, power, and skill, the student is also learning to sove problems, to be creative, to analysz, and react in an intellectually and constructive way. it is my goal that each child will develop desires and skill that will last for a lifetime. Winning or losing is not important in our program. Your child's participation is what is important.Students will not be asked to participate on days they are ill or injured. However, they need to bring a note from home on days they are ill or injured. Please send a note if your child has any health problems that need to be brought to my attention. I will expect your child to participate unless I have heard from you.All children need a pair of tennis shoes to wear during P.E. They will not be allowed to participate unless they are wearing tennis shoes. Girls who wear dresses or skirts need to wear shorts underneath so that they can participate freely in P.E. activities.Anytime that you have any questions or comments concerning your child and our P.E. program, please contact me.

Thank you,

Mrs. Jennings
